The Stroke is an alternative pop song in line with Coldplay and Sam Smith. It does, however, differentiate itself from other pop songs by - amongst other things - not using drums at all, which frees up the sound space and brings more of a focus to the lyrical and emotional aspects of the song.

"PRISONER" is an up-tempo 80s inspired rock/pop song about dealing with the curves life throws at you. The song explores the journey of a young man feeling chained by his surroundings and that one faceless person. Throughout the journey of the song he comes to

"PRISONER" is an up-tempo 80s inspired rock/pop song about dealing with the curves life throws at you. The song explores the journey of a young man feeling chained by his surroundings and that one faceless person. Throughout the journey of the song he comes to the realisation that he is not imprisoned by his surrounding but rather by his own mind, and that he needs to make the conscious decision of leaving his past behind and soldier on to get through.

The song is based on a personal event, when Jakob in late 2018 was hit by a van in a hit 'n' run incident on a pavement in London. The song is an exploration onto the state of mind he ende in based on the event, and lack of response, investigation and support from the authorities.

The song is dominated by piano and drums with a very rough, edgy and heavy feel right up until the chorus where the distorted organ adds to the soundscape along with bass and multiple vocals. The chorus lightens up through the melodic changes in the piano and the additional instruments; whilst the chorus is lighter than the verse the continuation of the drums allows the heavy vibe to remain throughout the entire song. The break appears light and nonchalant with the triple dubbing of the lead vocals. The instrumentation of this section is stripped down to only drums and bass. Halfway through the break the distorted organ reappear to build up for the final chorus. The song is furthermore delicately decorated with bells, music box, synth and additional vocals.
